Intro Class
This class is designed to assist the person who is interested in getting started in fly fishing, or the person who has just begun. Over the course of three evenings, some of the topics to be covered are: basic casting, tackle selection and its use, knots and connections, basic entomology, fly selection and application. This class is an excellent way to learn the basic techniques of fly fishing.

Fly Tying
This class is designed to teach, in a logical way, the basics of tying a fly. Each step in the process is a prelude to a somewhat more involved process. Each pattern is a prelude to a more involved pattern. In this class, tools and materials, proportions, methods of application and techniques for fishing the flies will be discussed. After completion of the class, the student will have learned the basic techniques for tying both moving and still water flies as well as having a basic selection of patterns.

Casting Lessons |

Casting Lessons
Fishermen's Spot offers casting lessons by appointment on Wednesday at 10 a.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. year round, weather permitting. Lessons are designed to address your individual skill levels and assist you in developing technique that will make your time on the water more productive. Specialized casting for intermediate or advanced is also available. Classes are limited to two students to maximize your time with the instructor and allow you to get the most out of each session. You may use your own equipment or we can provide top quality gear if necessary at no extra cost. Class fee is $50 payable to the instructor at time of class.
